Te Atatu Pony Club - General Information

For Current Members of Te Atatū Pony Club

Welcome back for another fantastic year at Te Atatū Pony Club (TAPC).

To renew your existing Te Atatū Pony Club membership, scroll to the bottom of this page and click on <Next>.  As you go through the following pages you do not have to add additonal family members (unless you have a new child joining), or additional emergency contacts (unless you want to) - just check and update the details that are already in the database and continue on using <Next> at the bottom of each page.  All payments for membership need to be paid through the Nominate website.

All members of TAPC are expected to abide by the policies and regulations of the Members' Handbook and, if you are grazing onsite, the Grazing Agreement Both of which are available on the TAPC website).  By joining TAPC you are agreeing to follow the requirements of these documents, including the requirement to make contributions of time and effort to keep the club running - we can't do it without our wonderful volunteers :-).

For New Members and Grazing Members

One of the real benefits of Te Atatū Pony Club (TAPC) is that you can own, graze and ride your horse or pony in Auckland's inner west, just fifteen minutes from the central city.  New youth members are always welcome at Te Atatū Pony Club and we look forward to meeting you!

We can take up to 18 horses in small herds of no more than eight horses or ponies. We offer youth coaching in rides where coaches can focus on a small groups. Families are very much part of Te Atatū Pony Club and we all get involved to help look after the riders, their horses, and our club grounds. We look forward to welcoming new members and are on hand to help you through the process. First, we’d love to welcome you along for a visit. We’ll show you and your family the beautiful grounds, introduce you to some of the horses and riders and provide you with more information about joining Te Atatū Pony Club.

Please contact us at teatatupony@gmail.com to arrange a visit.  Check out www.teatatuponyclub.co.nz for more information about joining Te Atatu Pony Club.

Membership Categories

As a small pony club, our focus is on youth members (those under 25). On occasion we may offer adult membership if capacity allows.  We currently offer the following types of membership:

  • riding member under 18 years (must be accompanied by an adult member and the adult member must register in the Nominate database first and then register the child).
  • riding member 18 - 25 years.
  • adult member (parent or guardian) accompanying a riding member under 18 years - every member under 18 years requires an accompanying adult member.
  • adult member - riding (no association with a riding member under 25) - this membership category is not always available, it depends on capacity.
  • adult member (volunteer/coach/supporter) - this membership is for adults with no horse on site and with no associated child but who supports and helps the club.  WE have several people who were parents or grandparents to riders and who continue to stay on and help the club.
