Fernances Creek Eventing and Dressage Day with Jess Somerfield and Ginny Stubbs

Our COVID Plan is in place, please register in our Club House before you ride. Use santitisers that are provided and wash hands.

 

 

We are welcoming Jess Somerfield back to Fernances Creek, our eventing coach extraodinaire and DNSW judge Ginny Stubbs.

Showjumping and Cross Country Training and Troubleshooting with Jessica Somerfield  Immerse yourself in  training with an excellent coach.

Are you going to Qurindi? Work with your horse, get ready for your next competition or enjoy a social ride on our fabulous eventing course and have a warm up of showjumping?

If you are not jumping or just want to practice your test for your next competiion, you can book in tor an options dressage test and comments from our judge Ginny Stubbs. 

You can also book in for an optional light lunch in our club house that is catered and served to you by Sharon and Paul. 

There is complimentary coffee and tea but please bring your own cup for any COVID retrictions.

 

 If you have not been to Fernances Creek or been coached by Jessica Somerfield

There are over 80 jumps with lots of gallop space, including waterjump,ditches,apex jumps and skinnies. Jessica Somerfield has some very impressive experience as 3 star rider, horse trainer and coach for both adults and junior riders and will take you through the paces, from 40cm to 1.05cm.

 Over 220 acres, set in an idyllic valley near the township of Laguna.

Dressage anyone?

Book your test with DNSW accreditied judge Ginny Stubbs and receive comments on your ride and how you can improve your marks.  Places are strictly limited and must be booked when you enter the timeslot allocated on Nominate. The test you are riding must be on your entry form and you must know the test.

Lunch

Lunches are optional and must be booked on Nomiante with your entries. Only 1 spectator per rider due to possible COVID restrictions. You must book both rider and spectator lunch when you enter, no exceptions.

Club Membership

If you are not an EA member, you must join our club to cover insurance 30.00 per year. This will cover you for all events at Fernances Creek until July 2021.

1. Make sure that you can come to event before you enter as there will be no refunds after the draw goes out. 

2. Wet weather will be called and emailed and posted on Facebook. Hopefully this will not happen!

3. Decide if you will be riding a dressage test. You will need to nominate the test that you are doing on your entry form and know the test before you ride. You can ride your test before or after your cross country. 

4. If you are riding cross country and dressage, make sure that you have plenty of time for changeover from one class to the next.

5. All lunches are optional and must be booked when you enter. This includes any spectator lunches and riders.

6. Book your dressage test (or not),then book your cross country (or not) and book your lunch (or not). Do not be late for the dressage or you will lose your spot.

7. Give yourself at least 10 minutes of warm-up before your first class in the showjumping paddock

8. Tie up to floats.

9. No camping due to possible COVID restrictions, we are very sorry and hope to be able to offer full hospitality very soon.

 

Format of the Day: 

1. Sign in at the clubhouse, including spectators. Bring your coffee cup and enjoy our complementary coffee and tea.

2. Go to the showjumping area for a warm up with your coach if you are eventing OR go to the dressage area at your designated time and get directions from the judge.

3. Complete your showjumping/cross country or dressage test and move to your next class if you have one.

4. If you have booked, lunch will be from 12:15-1:00  in the clubhouse. There is plenty of seating and ample space for distancing. 

5. Dressage and eventing classes will begin prompty at 1:00 after lunch.
