The OEA’s Schooling Day format is open to all riders at all levels although, if necessary, riders who are new to Eventing or those trying their hand at XC for the first time will be prioritized.  A final schedule for the day will be emailed to all confirmed riders prior to the Schooling Day.

*** If you are trailering with another horse/rider and/or would like to be grouped together (at the same level) let us know when you register, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Ultimately, clinic groupings are made at the discretion of the OEA and if you miss your assigned time we cannot guarantee that you will be added to a later group. ***

OEA Clinicians

Teddie Laframboise is the fourth child of eight of the Laframboise Eventing family, and a 5th generation horsewoman. Her great-great-grandfather imported horses from Ireland for hunting and racing in the early 1900s. Teddie competed extensively in hunter, jumper, and Eventing all through primary school and up to university. At 18, Teddie won the Ontario Intermediate (EV115) 3-Day Championships on her 15h homebred Soysambu mare, Ladybug.  At 22, Teddie coached the Quebec Young Rider Team to a team gold medal and an individual silver medal at the North American Young Rider Championships CCI*** in Red Deer, Alberta. Teddie continued to coach part time on the family farm in Luskville, QC, while pursuing degrees in business and education at the Universities of Ottawa and Toronto, respectively. After working in the financial industry for a time, she made the move to become a full-time rider and coach relocating, in 1994, to Stevens Creek Farm with her husband Andy where they run a successful training stable and popular sanctioned Horse Trials.

Moira de Ste. Croix/Laframboise is Teddie’s daughter and literally grew up in the saddle at Stevens Creek. She’s a 6th generation horsewoman, an EV115 level eventing competitor and a 1.20m jumper rider. In 2014, Moira was National Young Rider Champion, and she was the highest placed Canadian at the North American Young Rider Championships in Lexington, Kentucky finishing 4th overall. Moira is Stevens Creek’s resident trainer, backing horses that have moved on to be top competitors. She has been the Assistant Coach at Stevens Creek Farm since 2018, while also pursuing her education at Carleton University and graduating in 2023 with a degree in English.

Cancellation Policy: No refunds can be issued after the Closing Date. The Organizer has the right to cancel the schooling day/clinic in the case of wet ground if they deem the footing to be unsafe. If this occurs, entries will be refunded.
